It’s common knowledge that phone rings serve as an alert when receiving calls, but did you know there are many other cool things you can do with your phone ring? Below are some things you can do to customise your phone calls and maximise the features of your mobile phone.
You don’t need to settle with your phone’s default ringtone. You can use your phone to create custom ringtones and alerts. You can customise it to any music or sound you want. It can be your favourite song, your baby’s voice, or short sound clips from your favourite artist.
The first step is to find a song you like and download it from either iTunes or Google Play Music. Then, go into the settings on your phone and select "Sounds." Find the section labelled "Ringtone" and click on it. You should be able to see all the different sounds available for you to set as a new ringtone for any contact on your phone.
To change the sound of your phone's ringtone, here’s a general direction of what you can do. Take note that the settings might vary depending on your phone type and whether it’s an iPhone or an android.
1. Open Settings on your phone and select Sound and vibrations.
2. Select the Phone ringtone and choose a path from the menu (find it in the Google folder). Select OK to confirm your selection.
You can download or create ringtone sounds from various media sources if you have mobile internet service. For instance, when listening to podcasts or audiobooks, try recording the sound effects that play at specific points during an episode. Or you can record a part of a song from one of your favourite TV shows.
It's a common problem: you're about to answer a call, but your phone rings long enough for you to miss it. Did you know you can make your ring time longer? This will help you avoid having to call back customers and clients waiting for you to get back to them, and it will keep them from thinking you don't care about their business.
One of the best things you can do with your phone is to extend the amount of time before calls divert to voicemail. To do this, dial **61*321**(number of seconds)# on your mobile phone. The number of seconds you answer should be in multiples of 5, which means either 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and so on.
Hold music is an essential part of any business. It helps your callers feel like they are being listened to. It's also an excellent way for you to add an extra layer of professionalism to your customer service experience.
Almost all the latest mobile phone units have a call or hold feature, but in most cases, you will need to activate the call waiting to start using it. After activating the feature, you can now add hold music for your callers while they wait for you to answer the other line.
To add hold music to your call waiting feature, go to the Settings page of your phone and tap the Ringtone & Sounds tab. Scroll down the page, tap Call Waiting, and then toggle the Hold Music option from off to on.
If your phone system doesn't already have hold music capabilities built in, then you may not be able to use this feature unless you download an app or subscribe to the feature from your service provider.
Making an alarm ringtone is a great way to customise your phone and make it feel more like yours. Here's how:
On Android, go to Settings > Sound & notification > Default notification sound (or Alarm tone).
On iPhone, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone. If you're using an iPhone X or newer model, go dir 1` ectly into the Alarm section instead.
On Windows Phone, tap Start > Settings > Personalization > Ringtones & sounds, and choose which sound you'd like.
A message alert ringtone is an alert you can set for your phone to play when you receive a text message. It's simple, and it's an easy way to customise your phone to fit your needs. This can be useful if you want to know who's texting you without looking at your screen.
Use a song you like as your message and notification alert. Use a song that represents your personality. You can set up customised birthday alerts if you have trouble remembering birthdays or special occasions. It’s an instant feel-good moment every time you hear it.
If you have an iPhone, there will also be an option at this point where you can create your sound clip by recording yourself. Once you've done that, select it as a new alert tone.
If you have a fast internet connection, you can download free ringtones from several online sources if you have a fast internet connection. You can go to the Google Play Store and search for a "ringtone" app if you have an Android phone. You will be able to find many different options here, including ones that allow you to create your own custom ringtones. If you have an iPhone or iPad, try searching for "ringtone" in the App Store.
If you want something unique, you can use a free app to create and record your own ringtones and save them as MP3 files that you can then import into your phone.
When you’re ready to create your own custom ringtone or alert, you can use several different methods. You can use the settings on your phone or one of the many online apps. There are even some websites that provide this service as well!
